Your Wild World

A Creative Ecology
Sketchbook Practice

Experience presence and cultivate wonder through a Field Guide to You

Your wild world is calling.

Create a field guide to you

By the end of 4 weeks, you'll have cultivated a practice of deep noticing and presence - and a sketchbook that holds the story of your unique relationship with the wild world around, and within you.

Come Home to Your Wild Self.

Your Wild World is a 4-week Creative Ecology Practice,
a way to weave your place, your wild kin, and your own creative thread into a sketchbook.

All you need is paper and a pencil - and your big wild heart.

Why Your Relationship with the Wild World Matters

Right now, in this moment of global overwhelm and endless digital noise, we're more disconnected from the natural world - and from ourselves - than ever before. We've been taught that nature is something "out there," separate from us. That our attention should be on productivity, on “the news”, on scrolling, not dandelions. That our creative responses to the world don't matter unless they're perfect or expert.

Your unique way of noticing matters because it's YOURS.

The relationship you build with the bird outside your window, the way light moves across your wall, the textures that call to your fingers - these aren't trivial observations. They're threads of connection in a technological era desperately trying to convince us we're alone. They’re awe and wonder in a time of on-line chaos that wants us small and scared and in-line.

When you tend your relationship with the wild, you:

  • Remember you belong to something larger than the chaos of human systems

  • Access a source of wonder and groundedness that can't be taken from you

  • Develop your capacity for presence in a world that profits from your distraction

  • Reclaim your creativity as a birth right, not a competition

  • Document your becoming alongside the seasons and cycles that hold us all

This isn't about making pretty pages. It's about remembering who you are as part of this wild, beautiful, interconnected world.

And that changes everything.

Creative Ecology: The living practice of weaving wild, creative relationships.

Your observations of place, your art honouring wild kin, and the words that move you, flow together into a dynamic web of connection, tending the evolution of your wild self. You are both the weaver and the thread.

When We Slow Down Enough to Truly See . . .

The world reveals itself in ways that transform not just our art, but our entire experience of being alive.

This isn't about perfect pages and flawless sketches. This is about remembering your connection to wonder and letting that connection ripple out into every aspect of your life.

🍂 Week 1: Seeing Your Place — foundational observation and mark-making
Where you are right now is exactly where you need to be.

🍂 Week 2: Hearing Your Place — translating sound into visual language
The symphony that surrounds you, if you listen.

🍂 Week 3: Touching Your Place — texture studies and expanded materials
When colour calls to your creative spirit.

🍂 Week 4: Sensing Deeply — integration, connection, and future visioning
The wild relationships that continue to unfold, including your relationship with yourself.

Your gentle journey

✨ Weekly Gentle Guidance

When you join class you will receive a beautifully illustrated compassion-and-curiosity guide with gentle suggestions (never rules) for exploring your wild world:

  • Sensory invitations

  • Reflection prompts

  • Poems, quotes, and inspiration.

Your Creative Ecology Toolkit

Everything you need to feel confident and inspired:

  • 10+ video tutorials (15-20 minutes each) showing sketchbook spread techniques, sharing thoughts (and probably some long rambles) and some basic sketching instructions to find the shapes of what you see

  • 15+ example page layouts from simple to complex

  • Supplies guide with how to use each material

Complete Creative Freedom

Your pages don't have to be scientific, perfect, or even finished. They're not 'nature journal' entries to be compared or evaluated. They're a field guide - the field guide of YOUR wild world, YOUR relationships, YOUR growing.

You are both the observer and the observed, the thread that binds everything together. Your pages are works in progress, just like you.

For this first session only, let's create Your Wild World together.

I will be building Your Wild World with you for this first session, moulding into a meaningful experience with your help.

For this first live cohort only, you'll have two bonus experiences that won't be available in the self-paced version:

Weekly Live Co-Sketching Sessions

Join me each week for gentle sketching sessions where we create together in real time. We will gather to talk about "In Place" observations, "Wild Kin" art, and "Word Weaving" and how we can sculpt those into meaningful pages.

Supportive Beta Community

A private, gentle space to share discoveries and connect with other wild-hearted souls on the same journey. The community will be open for the 4 live weeks of content, plus a final week thereafter (5 weeks total).

As a founding member, you'll help shape this practice into its fullest expression. Your feedback matters.

These two experiences will not be available in the self-paced version.

What You'll Need

A sketchbook or notebook that feels good in your hands

  • Simple drawing materials (pencil, perhaps some coloured pencils and/or watercolour if you want to explore even more)

  • A willingness to slow down and notice

  • Curiosity about the world immediately around you

That's it. Truly.

The magic doesn't come from fancy supplies - it comes from you, showing up with gentle attention to the wonder that already surrounds you.

This Isn't Nature Journaling (not in a traditional sense anyway)

Your Wild World is not a nature journaling course where you'll learn to draw perfect botanical illustrations and wildlife portraits. I'm not teaching you how to identify species or create proper field notes.

Your Wild World is a presence practice - a way of cultivating relationship with the wild (including your own wild self) through gentle noticing, sensory awareness, and creative expression. Your sketchbook becomes a field guide to YOU - documenting not just what you see, but how you see, what moves you, what calls to your wild heart.

It is a practice that will open your heart and mind to so much more, empowering your creativity, curiosity, and compassion in profoundly beautiful ways.

Your Creative Ecology:
Three Strands, One Thread

Your Wild World isn't nature journaling or wildlife art or morning pages, it's a weaving of all these - and something more.

Over four gentle weeks (and for years to come) you'll build your Creative Ecology through
three strands of connection:

✨ In Place

Direct observation of your immediate environment through your physical senses. Touch bark, watch light move, listen to morning birds, notice what's actually here with you right now. This grounds you in your specific place and time.

✨ Wild Kin

Creative connection with wild beings near and far through photographic reference. The creatures that share your place, and those from distant lands you may never meet but can honour through art. This expands your circle of care and wonder.

✨ Word Weaving

The quotes, books, and ideas that are shaping how you see - both the world around you and yourself. Robin Wall Kimmerer teaching you about reciprocity. Sharon Blackie reminding you of your wild elder wisdom. Mary Oliver showing you how to pay attention. These literary companions belong on your pages too.

You are the green-gold thread that weaves these together - your unique way of seeing, your questions, your wonder, your growing relationships with the wild world and your own wild self.

For Women Ready to Remember

This practice is open to everyone, but it holds special medicine for women.

For women who've spent too long trying to be productive, perfect, pleasing. For women who've forgotten their own wildness in the service of others. For women ready to reclaim creative time as sacred time.

For women who know, deep down, that reconnecting with the earth means reconnecting with their own wise, wild nature.

Hello, Wild Soul

I see you there, feeling that pull toward the creatures who roam free - the ones with feathers, fur, and wild hearts that mirror something deep within you.

Maybe you've always felt more at home watching birds than scrolling social media.

Maybe you find yourself sketching in margins, wishing you could capture the spirit of the natural world around you.

Maybe you're longing for something more meaningful than the everyday rush - a way to connect with the wild world while nurturing the creative fire that's been quietly burning inside you.

I'm Natalie, a wildlife artist who believes that when we honour our creative wildness, something magical happens. We don't just make art; we remember who we are. We remember we belong to this beautiful earth, and just as she belongs to us.

Join me on this wild-hearted adventure.

✺ Frequently asked questions ✺

  • Not at all. This is about cultivating presence and wonder - your unique way of seeing is exactly what's needed.

  • Your wild world exists wherever you are, and absolutely accessible to everyone. A single houseplant, light through a window, birds on a power line, a bunch of flowers delivered to your door - wonder doesn't require wilderness (just your own inner wildness).

  • As much or as little as feels nourishing to you. Some people spend 15 minutes a day, others lose themselves for hours. You may only have time once week or once a fortnight. There are no rules - only invitations.

  • Yes. You'll come away with stronger observation, sketching, and rendering skills - the foundations of all wildlife art. But more than that, you'll have the confidence to trust your way of seeing. While this isn't a technical drawing course, the practice of deep observation and presence it cultivates forms the foundation of all meaningful nature art.

  • Perfect. This practice begins with simple graphite - showing you the full range possible with just pencil and paper. Colour is always optional, never required. A sketchbook and pencil are enough to begin.

  • Absolutely. Your wild world might be a single houseplant, the view from your window, or cut flowers from the market. You don't need hiking boots or field guides - just willingness to notice and some curiosity.

  • Your Wild World is self paced, and you have access to it for life (my life anyway!!)

  • Because you have access to everything from the start, I cannot offer a refund. But I would never want you to be unhappy! If for any reason you’re not satisfied with your purchase, contact me within the first 7 days and we’ll talk about a solution.
