I wish for you to be saturated with a simple joy today

It is Christmas Day here in Oz, and I am loving on my 3 year old nephew and my family. I feel a delicious fulfilment at a year of hard work and about every emotion possible experienced multiple times over. I wish for you to be saturated with a simple joy today and tomorrow and for always, because you deserve it.

This is definitely one of the pieces I am most proud of this year -Long Eared Owlets.. At that point it was my largest piece, and is still the most detailed botanical accompaniment. I fell in love with these two from the moment they started falling out of my pencils, and my heart is so so happy that they now live with a beautiful couple on the other side of the world. The title of this piece was inspired by Mary Oliver, but it is mostly how I felt about them while they were with me. "Struck to the heart and saturated with a simple joy"
