It is my honour to offer a limited number of commissions for 2023.
How it works
Wildlife
You tell me what animal or bird you would love to commission, and why/what they mean to you or to the recipient
I find the perfect reference, and create you a unique and beautiful work of art
Wild at Heart (Pets)
You provide me with a beautifully clear photo or video of your beloved wild-hearted being, and tell me their story.
I create you a sensitive and reverential work of art

About the commission process
Are you looking to be reminded every day of the beauty and majesty of the wild world, and your connection to it through your own wild heart? Or do you want this same expansive, reverential feeling for someone you love?
Then this commission process is for you.
Once you click on the form below, we will talk about
the perfect painting made just for you.
This is just the beginning - once I know more, I will send you all the information about what you can expect (hint: nothing but the best!)
You will tell me the type of animal or bird that you want to see made into a beautiful piece of art, and then you will trust me as the artist to find the perfect reference and make you something that will be handed down through generations to come. We will create an artistic legacy piece together.
A non-refundable 25% deposit is required to secure your commission slot.
You will receive up to three updates from me as the piece progresses:
for wildlife commissions: a black and white value sketch after accepting the commission, or perhaps a choice between two sketches depending on size and composition.
a teaser work-in-progress photo when the painting is underway.
a watermarked final photo when the painting is finished and final payment due.
All pieces come varnished and ready to hang (or you may wish to take to a framers to have a bespoke frame added)

FAQs

Framing is not a part of the commission process. This is for various reasons - particularly that framing substantially increases the cost of shipping, and runs the risk of being damaged through the long journey from my studio to your home. Framing is also a highly personal decision dependent on taste, home decor and space. I recommend you take your painting to a local framer who can work with you to make your beautiful artwork a true feature for your home.

This will depend on your budget, the subject, and the space you want to hang the piece. We can discuss this further!

These commission prices are for one subject, depending on the size you choose, and the size of the subject, they may be painted full body, or as a head/chest portrait - this allows me to capture the most detail.

These commission prices are for a plain background only - dark for oil painting, white for coloured pencil pieces.

Although I will take photos during the process, none of these will be shared on social media or in my newsletter until your have received (and/or gifted) your piece. It will be just between you and I until then!

I will only be offering limited commission slots to ensure that everyone receives their commission in time for the holidays. All paintings will ship out by 4th November 2022

The price of postage is included in your commission fee. Your painting will be beautifully and securely wrapped, and sent to you tracked and requiring a signature, unless you advise otherwise.

I am only offering commissions for wild creatures at this stage. There are many wonderful pet portraiture artists who would love to paint your pet. Let me paint something from the forests or fields for you!
