ABOUT THIS PIECE

These long eared owlets captured my heart as soon as I saw their sweet faces, inquisitive gaze, and improbably delightful fluffy feathered crown. This piece was the start of The Silent Flight collection, igniting my passion for capturing these gorgeous creatures in pigment on paper.

The name of this piece was inspired by the poetry of Mary Oliver, who wrote many words about owls, their at once mysterious and wholly grounded nature, and connection to all facets of the web of life.
